One of my employees rolled into the office late today… I’m not one for clocking hours of the office staff – but he’s a guy who has started to develop some pretty bad habits. When I asked him about it he said “oh, I had a dentist appointment this morning.”
Another dentist appointment??? That excuse is getting old. I’ve probably heard it 3 times from him in 2009 already. Come on. Who are you fooling?
If you are going to be late to work or, for whatever reason, need a “personal day” be creative with your excuse. The more improbably, the better… at least in my books.
